Chiropractic

is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, in particular the spine.

Chiropractors believe that many health problems are due to malfunctions in the nervous system caused by misalignments or blockages of the vertebrae. The main technique of chiropractic is to manipulate and realign these vertebrae in order to improve health and wellbeing.

The main technique chiropractors use is so-called 'chiropractic manipulation' or 'chiropractic adjustment'. In this, they apply controlled, gentle pressure and movement techniques to the affected vertebrae in order to release blockages and restore the normal function of the nervous system. The goal is to enable the body to heal itself and relieve pain.

It is important to note that chiropractic, like osteopathy, is an alternative form of therapy and is not endorsed by all medical professionals. In our practice, osteopathic and chiropractic examination and treatment methods are used in combination – according to necessity and effectiveness, and always in consultation with you.
